French RIs include key structures:

  • Sites Instrumentés (SI): regional observatories (e.g. SIRTA in Paris Region)
  • Services Nationaux d’Observation: thematic structures that focus on specific variables (e.g CLAP on atmospheric aerosols, COOL on oceanic carbon).
  • Instruments Nationaux:

IPSL contributes to research infrastructures in the domain of Atmosphere, Ocean and Continental Surfaces:

  • Atmosphere: ACTRIS, ICOS (observation); CLIMERI (modeling)
  • Ocean: OHIS (observation)
  • Continental Surfaces: OZCAR (observation)
  • Data: DATA TERRA
