What is ACTRIS ?

ACTRIS is the fundamental European Research Infrastructure for short-lived atmospheric constituents increasing the excellence in Earth system observation and research and providing information and knowledge for developing sustainable solutions to societal needs.

ACTRIS’s primary goal is to produce high-quality integrated datasets in the area of atmospheric sciences and provide services, including access to instrumented platforms, tailored for scientific and technological usage.

I-CEO in ACTRIS

Units in ACTRIS at l’IPSL are:

  • LATMOS, LISA, LMD, LSCE, CEREA and IPSL (teams SIRTA, ESPRI)
  • INERIS is an important partner of IPSL within the frame of ACTRIS.

These contributions are about :

  • Observations done at SIRTA observatory (trace gas in-situ, aerosol remote sensing, aerosol in-situ, cloud remote sensing)
  • Experimentations realised in simulation chamber CESAM
  • Expertises (calibration, standards procedures, …) in CCRES and ACMCC centers
  • Observations done outside of SIRTA observatory (par ex. QUALAIR, LISA-PRG) during campaigns
  • Data processing and management by ESPRI within the frame of AERIS
